Pic shows the GZ3 and its low action
Having seen Andy Irvine, Donal Lunny and James Fagan playing very expensive versions of the guitar bouzouki, I have spent the last 3 years working on a production model, available without the waiting list! - er, until now as I've sold out.
Everyone who has played it, is hugely impressed.
I can send one on a 2-week money-back trial.
email phil - at - gazuki.co.uk to arrange this.
The tone is very different from the normal bouzouki of course, because of the conventional Guitar body

GDAE Tuning with Octave Strings

Steve Hunt plays with Amplifier
The tuning is usually GDAE - mandolin or fiddle tuning, but it is equally at home in GDAD, ADAE ADAD etc
Intonation is outstanding and due to solid construction it stays in tune better than any Bouzouki I've had.
Design Features:-
The 12th fret is arranged to be well clear of the guitar body, with the cut-away this enables you to play easily above the 12th fret. The neck is hardwood and slim front-back and there is a neck adjustment truss rod.(Allen Key provided)
Stringing:-
The stringing of the G and D pairs can be Unison or Octave and both work well. The Zero-Fret makes it easy to change from Unison to Octave Stringing
I use Unison when accompanying my wife, Harp virtuoso Sarah Deere-Jones. This brings out the Basses and then I change to Octave when playing in sessions.
For unison this is 042wound , 032 wound , 020 plain, 011
For Octave this becomes 020 wound /042, 011/032, 020 plain, 011 Alternatively 018 plain works very well for the A.
Built-in Tuner - Chromatic and a JOY to use. Gold tuning machine heads are by 'Wilkinson'
Pick-up:-
There is a pick-up with Vol, EQ and 'presence' and Anti-feedback 'Notch filter' with a Jack socket spaced away from the Back Strap knob.
